About
jambo!
Across expressions, my soul’s journey is the same: I’m here to help others enjoy their time on Earth.
When working with someone 1:1, I find meaning helping life’s semi-misfits feel safe succeeding as their authentic selves. When building a product, I like designing tools that feel accessible to the everyman: they’re grounded enough to click, but enchanted enough to hold a little glimmer of mystique.
My beliefs are naturalist-leaning, and I tend to be a good fit for clients who like being an instrument to bridge spiritual realms with the land we walk on.
My Story
By the end 2012, I had ten bosses within my first two years of a strategy job. When I realized the promotion I wanted wasn’t within my (super Type A, “hard work = results!”) control, I broke down — and prayed. I said, “God, clearly this is outside of my control. You’ve done this before. I haven’t.*” I saw a blank white artist’s canvas with the hand of God guiding my forearm, wielding a paintbrush. “Help me lead a life more beautiful than one I could ever imagine. I trust You.” And with that, I made the intention “trust” short for “trust in God”. Within two weeks, there was a coworker in my kitchen with a tattoo reading, “trust in God”. He later hired me to write anything I wanted for his fitness supplement company because he liked my voice. This was interesting, because we worked as entry level analysts. We were numbers people. (I didn’t have any quiet fantasies of being a writer — I got terrible scores on my reading/writing SATs, hundreds below my 790 math score).
Long story short: my life has been beautiful, albeit not in the ways we’d expect.
In no particular order: it’s voyaged from homelessness and addiction to cavorting with life’s ultra high-achievers to launching itty bitty indie brands to blowing my life up in smoke to building a global community of ancestral healers to clocking a few trainings/certifications to momentarily flitting around as a professional intuitive to everything in between. The ride has been beautiful, albeit odd. It’s a lived-in experience Earthside. And I’m glad to be able to bring some of the textured understanding from my misadventures and wins forward to you, where and however they might be of service.
The new prayer I’m living into is to let my life be a love letter to life.
